I got to clinic at the usual 7:45 this morning and found an empty waiting room. I assumed patients were just strolling in late, as happens, especially on cold winter mornings. Then I went into the office and found nobody there... And then I looked at the schedule and realized the first patient wasn't scheduled until 9! So here I am in the hospital cafeteria, bored and sleepy. Note to self: make the effort to get tomorrow's schedule before I leave each day.
How's everyone's new year going? I find myself in a motivational funk. My body is tired and my mind is lazy. I have a hard time gettin' movin', getting things done. That being said, I'm proud that we have succeeded in going to the gym on a semi-regular basis, and we threw a pretty awesome wine-tasting/birthday party for a friend on Saturday night.
I know I missed a couple fitness updates, but I'll just start with the time since we've been back from break:
- Mon 1/5 - 50min pilates
- Thur 1/8 - 30min treadmill, intense abs
- Sat 1/10 - 45min treadmill
- Mon 1/12 - walked home from work (this includes a 1-mile steep uphill)
Gotta get back on high gear, but right now I'm happy with 3/wk.
Let's see... It took me 15 min to post this on my blackberry. Another half hour to kill!

ooh, totally diggin these frequent updates. the other night, I had "long lost brother" on repeat all night until like 4 am while making progress on writing about my trip. can you believe i stay up so late just to write a blogpost?
