Holiday Vacation

We're between major holidays, and there's something kinda nice about the daily grind--that is, it's nice when I go to work every day knowing that I'll have 2 weeks off in just about 2 weeks! Thanksgiving was a fun time in the busy hectic kind of way. It was good cookin' and good eatin'. Not to mention good times. And good workouts!:

Fitness update:
Tue 11/25 30min run, hard core abs
Wed 11/26 ~20min run on the track, arm workout #2
Thur 11/27 5K run on treadmill, hard core abs
Sat 11/28 30min stairmaster, hard core legs
Wed 12/03 30min on treadmill, abs

My OB/Gyne rotation has been extremely fun and interesting. I was most apprehensive of this rotation, because I didn't think I had any interest in the field. I'd also heard that the residents are all b****es, and I hate working with b****y residents. But I've been more than pleasantly surprised, and I'll be damned if I don't get along really really well with the residents! I think this says something about my own b****iness. *shrug* I've loved the crazy STDs and the patients with the crazy lives that led to the STDs. I love taking care of pregnant women. And I really do love the OR... as of today, I'm back in the OR doing surgery. Except they don't let students do ANYTHING in gynecologic surgeries, so for many hours today, my main focus was on staying awake and not letting the images on the laparoscopic camera monitor make me nauseous. It'll be interesting to see how high OB/Gyne climbs up my career list when the end of this rotation rolls around.
