Happy New Year

Rosh Hashanah starts tomorrow at sundown, and so the High Holy Days begin. I, belonging to no single faith, find religious holidays both interesting and spiritually beautiful. I've found that they tend to revolve around introspection, self-renewal, and a purging of superficial worries and desires for gratitude for the more meaningful aspects of life. Plus they're usually associated with some great food eatin'.

The only sorta annoying part of the Jewish holidays is that the JCC is closed for what seems like all of fall, and so my exercising takes a hit. Hmmm. I'm realizing that perhaps I should do some more purging of the superficial ;)
