This morning, into the afternoon, I was a dark cloud shooting lightning. Boy, I tell ya. It was like I didn't know how to be happy. Poor Rico. On Valentine's Day, of all days. But then we had a great group of people over for an anti-Valentine's day (anti-"VD") KC BBQ night, and ate like crazy and had great conversation and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
And then I didn't feel so bad!
A few of my favorite things:
1. Babies. I was on my newborn nursery/well-baby rotation this week. I LOVE babies. I would hang out in the nursery hoping a baby would start crying so that I would have an excuse to feed/rock/soothe one. Even the ugly ones are damn cute.
2. Giant snowflakes (that stay on your nose and eyelashes)... especially when you can look at them up close and see their delicate fleeting shapes! So pretty.
3. Chocolate covered strawberries. Yummmmm.
4. Dinner and good times with fun people.
5. Rico Suave!

Oo yikes, I've felt that kind of unhappiness about 2 ro 3 times that I remember. I guess it happens to everyone- but it always goes away somehow! Anything in particular that was bothering you? I had a pretty bad time with my superiors last week- got really pissed off and murderously angry. Have you ever seen me murderously angry? Now they call me Angry Asian Angie- Triple A. All in good fun of course.
#1 almost made me decide right then and there to go for the neonatal nursing degree. Gee, sometimes all it takes is a line or two from a friend's blog.
You should try melting a giant Toblerone for the chocolate covered strawberries! it is so so delicious!
