No A/C? No Fun!

It's 12:40am and I'm sweltering in my very hot bedroom in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. I have a window A/C unit that is not installed. It's actually sitting right next to me on the floor, taunting me. The ceiling fan is on full blast but somehow it just makes me more aware of the heat and the sweat that's chillin' out on my skin.

So here I am, in my new humble abode. Welcome to Pitt. I'm here with my parents, who are sending me off to med school in the same way they did for kindergarten: by accompanying me to school. Okay, maybe not the exact same way. School doesn't actually start for 2 weeks, and I'm not crying about my lack of desire to go. But in a lot of ways, it's similar: they've bought me my back-to-school supplies and clothes, and I, anxious about such new-school trepidations such as the making of new friends, first impressions, doing well in class, etc., am glad my parents are here to hold my hand.
