Good Performances

I just watched President Bush's Address to the Nation regarding our involvement, past and future, in the War on Terror/"Iraq". I have yet to develop a final opinion about what I just saw except to say that I believe the speech was written well and, especially considering the fact that Mr. President's public speaking skills leave a great deal to be desired, was performed well. All in all, that's what it was: a performance. More to come.

In other news, I have the entire RENT soundtrack stuck in my head 24/7:

There's only us, there's only this
Forget regret, or life is yours to miss
No other road, no other way
No day but today.

If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it-- amazing music, amazing stage-screen adaptation, amazing performances (who knew Rosario Dawson was so freakin amazing?)
